Raising Butterflies

Westley got a Butterfly Garden kit for Christmas (Thanks Aunt Lisa!) and now that it is Spring, I thought it was a perfect time to order our live caterpillars. They came in the mail and now we need to watch them live their lives as caterpillars in the provided little container (which isn't very adventurous) and then they are supposed to make their cocoons at which point we transfer them to the butterfly pavillion and wait for them to emerge as butterflies.

While we are waiting, we are reading books on caterpillars and butterflies, and I taught Will and Grandma Kathy the sign for butterfly. Look how good they are at it!
