Grandma was here and I asked her if she would participate. She found her role to be very easy.
I had her put some animal cookies in a brown paper bag, and then walk out of the room.
The boys and I ate her cookies and then we put peanuts in her bag instead.
I asked Westley, "What is Grandma going to think is in the bag?" He said "cookies!"
He was right, showing development of Theory of Mind.
Researchers have found that children answer correctly like this at about the age of 4.
Westley thought "tricking Grandma" was a hilarious game, so we played this many times in a row...switching out different things in Grandma's bag
