Balance Bike Believer

For Christmas, I got my 2 1/2 year old a Strider Balance bike. It took him a few months to get interest in it and get good on it, but now he can speed along pushing with his feet to gain speed and then coasting with his feet up.

He showed interest in riding Westley's 2 wheel bike with pedals but no training wheels just a few days before his 3rd birthday. Westley agreed to giving his bike to Will on his birthday (wasn't hard to convince him as he was told he would get a new bigger bike)

Will got Westley's big boy bike and after about 5 minutes he started riding all on his own. We were camping at the time, and he went probably a half mile of riding all on his own.

He is so proud of himself and so excited, and he is so cute!

Because he has pedaled a tricycle, and learned to balance on the Strider Bike, I think that is why he was able to be so successful on a real bike!
